PRELIMINARY TASK

Before we started to plan and film our 'real' opening sequence we did a preliminary task to help learn the different media skills we would need in our final product. We learn skills such as continuity and watched errors in past examples, the 180 degree rule which means that you never go over 180 degrees when filming. We had to do a sequence of walking through a door and  having two lines of dialogue each between two characters. Doing this preliminary task helped us to gain the skills we needed to learn about continuity errors and this also helped us learn about the editing skills that we required when we created our horror films. This also helped us to get used to using the cameras and tripods and learning what different shots flowed together. This is our preliminary task:
